Hello Everyone, this month I'm posting a Sympathy Card featuring Spellbinders Dies. The pattern paper is a Swirl paper with a varnish finish. I cut panels of pattern paper, matted them with black cardstock to fit on a Paper Company's Blond Columns textured cardstock base, both for the front and on the inside. The effect is quite formal and sophisticated. On the first layer I used Spellbinders Labels 8 and cut a label out of petallics ivory mettalic CS. I matted it with black CS and cut it carefully around the outside freehand with my scissors. On that label I used the Sizzix Swirl Embossing Plate to emboss a swirl pattern to coordinate with the pattern paper. I then used the Spellbinders Mega Ovals Scallop and then I used the Mega Ovals straight edge
As the embellishment, I used the Spellbinders L.E. Cross Collection, using a combination of crosses from the collection and layering with gold accents. I tied a creme ribbon edged chiffon bow onto the cross embellishment and topped the design off with Martha Stewart table confetti flowers in creme with gold beaded accents. For my loyal followers, this is my last post as a designer for my wonderful friend Cindy as I will be very busy with another assignment. Sad to leave as a designer but looking forward to a wonderful and continued friendship with Cindy, Kevin and all my designer friends....
