When you need a bunch of small gifts in a hurry, sour cream containers fit the bill. They are easy to make, can be filled with a variety of items and look really good piled high in a basket. My ingredients for this container are as follows:
One 3.75 x 4.5 inch sheet of designer paper
Scallop Punches
Stapler
Crimper
M&M Peanut Butter Candies
Cut a sheet of paper 3.75 inches by 4.5 inches.
Use Scor-Tape on the right edge, in the middle at the bottom and the left half of the top.
Peel off the liner on the long edge, roll the container and adhere.
Peel off the liner on the center bottom strip and adhere having the horizontal seam in the center.
Although not necessary, crimping at this point makes the container look like a sour cream container.
Fill the container with candy of your choice, pull the liner off of the remaining tape, turn the container so the horizontal seam is on the left side and press the ends together.
If you crimped the first edge, crimp this edge also.
Use your scallop punches to punch a 1.5" and a 1.25" scalloped circle out of scrap paper. Circle punches can also be used. Stamp the smallest scallop or circle with the sentiment of your choice. Adhere the two pieces together.
Staple the sentiment to the container. These are really simple to make for a party or holiday. I recently made 300 of them in less than 2 days. If you are making a large quantity, cut all your pieces first, stamp everything you want stamped second, and then assemble and fill while watching your favorite television show. You can design your own paper in a photo editing program, import your picture to Microsoft Power Point or Word and print out five of these per page. It would be easy to personalize them with your own art work or names. For banquets, you can add extra items inside for door prizes or you can add fortunes. These also look wonderful in acrylic, I've used transparency film to make them. I hope you'll give these a try, but I warn you, they are addicting.
